no real glitches so far (fingers crossed).\u00a0 I added a PCB Yagi antenna that I got from AliExpress to the shed (that will eventually house the weather station electronics) and pointed it to the house in the general direction of the WiFi router and am very pleased with the results: the signal strength (RSSI) is in the 50-60 dBm range as opposed to like 70+ dBm with the onboard antenna.\u00a0 With the weather station code updating wind speed and direction every 75 seconds, no updates were missed because of WiFi issues.\u00a0 <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2151 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/unixwizardry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Closeup-of-shed-Yagi-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/unixwizardry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Closeup-of-shed-Yagi-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/unixwizardry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Closeup-of-shed-Yagi-230x307.jpg 230w, https:\/\/unixwizardry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Closeup-of-shed-Yagi-350x467.jpg 350w, https:\/\/unixwizardry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Closeup-of-shed-Yagi-rotated.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/> I fashioned a swivel holder for the Yagi so I could adjust the position of the Yagi, if necessary, but it seems to be working pretty great so far!\u00a0 \u00a0Recently I did a trial run of the cable from the rain gauge to the inside of the shed where the finished weather station will be, fortunately had enough cable length to make it all the way to the PCB 1-wire connector.\u00a0 \u00a0Since the code is working pretty well, it&#8217;s time to FINALLY do necessary changes to the PCB and send it off to JLCPCB.\u00a0 I&#8217;m going to use JST connectors since those should be a better connection than pin headers;
